    Description

    Refinement in detail

Delta X builds on the global success of the Wharfedale Pro Delta series.
Constructed from 15mm plywood and covered in the highest quality Rhino Rock paint, the new Delta X215 is instantly recognizable by the engraved iconic Wharfedale Pro ‘boomerang’ logo on its cabinet.  The fresh cosmetic design however is not the only improvement the engineering team have made.
Internally Delta X215 also has a new crossover design and construction.  Using new component positioning and bracing, the sensitive crossover electronics have been re-engineered to improve long term performance and reliability – even at the highest of volumes.
With rear panel switching, Delta X215 can operate in either Bi-Amp or Passive modes.  This routing flexibility allows for Delta X systems to be refined using multiple amplifiers and external crossovers.
Custom Wharfedale Pro transducers have also been selected. High output, low physical distortion cast frame woofers deliver unparalleled low frequency response. With the exception of the Delta X10, 2” titanium compression drivers are coupled to 90°x45° elliptical waveguides for impressive output level and smooth HF dispersion.
With a full lineup of 9 new models, ranging from the 300w RMS Delta X10 to the 1600w RMS Dual Chamber 2 x 18” Delta X218 subwoofer, Delta X models are perfect for fixed installation and touring applications.

    Birch Plywood

All Delta-X models use premium Baltic birch plywood construction.

Not only does this create a solid and durable cabinet, but it also contributes to the overall sound and character.

Delta-X is also covered in our most durable and hard wearing Rhino Rock paint finish. This ensures that a Delta-X will always look as good as the day you unboxed it.

    TONE-TONE

As with all Wharfedale Pro PA systems, years of expertise is behind a loudspeaker built to last, with thanks to our high standards of quality control.

The Delta-X series are coated in the highest quality polyurea-based Tough-Tone paint finish The properties of Tough-Tone paint also allow for easy touch-ups and cleaning, ensuring that minor imperfections can be corrected, further prolonging the longevity of our already reliable products.

    Routed Logo

Delta-X features a routed Wharfedale Pro logo.

It is a logo to be proud of. A logo that lets your audience know that the sound of your even will be of the highest possible quality.

    New CROSSOVER DESIGN

Internally Delta-X models have a new crossover design and construction.

Using new component positioning and bracing, the sensitive crossover electronics have been re-engineered to improve long term performance and reliability – even at the highest of volumes.

    Bi-amp & passive modes

In BI-AMP mode, two power amplifier channels can be used, one for each section of the loudspeaker (HF compression driver and LF transducers). DSP (Digital signal processing) is used to separate the audio signal into specific frequency bands for each amplifier channel, powering only the corresponding driver section inside the loudspeaker. This gives you the advantage of being able to select the optimal power specifications and use independent limiter and EQ settings for each driver, resulting in more granular system control and a safer, more efficient, and protected system.

In PASSIVE mode, a single amplifier channel can be used to power all drivers inside the loudspeaker. The full frequency range is put into the loudspeaker and the loudspeakers’ internal passive crossover separates the frequencies, delivering the right frequencies to the right driver. In the example of a 2-way passive loudspeaker, this means that the single amplifier channel is powering both the HF compression driver and the LF transducers. The internal crossover takes care of both the frequency and power separation.

The Wharfedale Pro Preset Library includes factory presets for both BI-AMP and PASSIVE modes, these must be used for optimal loudspeaker performance and protection.
