Peavey CS 1400

The Peavey CS 1400 – Stereo Power Amplifier (500W per Channel at 4 Ohm) is a 2RU rack mountable amp designed for live sound reinforcement applications such as for parties, clubs, houses of worship and concerts. The amplifier is capable of outputting 1400W bridged at 4Ω, 700W per channel at a 2Ω, 500W per channel at 4Ω, and 330W per channel at 8Ω with a frequency response of 10 to 25,000 Hz.

Description

Building on the reputation of the world-famous Peavey CS 800, which conquered the power amp market in the 1970s, the CS Series is the global standard bearer for workhorse reliability. Over the years, these amps have benefited from some of Peavey’s most popular audio innovations, including our exclusive DDT compression/anti-clipping protection. With its 2RU design and power points up to 4080 watts, this latest evolution of the CS Series is leaner, louder and lighter than ever.

The unit can be operated in either stereo or switched to bridged mono mode. It includes Peavey’s Distortion Detecting Technique Limiting (DDT) circuitry as well as LFC impedance sensing, thermal, short circuit, DC voltage, and Turn-On/Turn-Off protection circuits. The front panel includes two input attenuators for controlling the level as well as LED indicator lights for power, signal, and DDT. For I/O, the back panel features combination 1/4″ and XLR inputs, Speakon outputs, and binding post outputs.
