A 76-key keyboard (a conventional piano has 88 keys) that allows you to perform piano pieces with greater authenticity, without requiring much space. Although the keys have the same box shape as those on a piano, the keyboard has a lighter feel that makes it easy for beginning pianists to start, rather than the weightier feel of a standard piano keyboard. You can also use headphones with the NP-35 if you are worried about disturbing those around you with your playing.

It’s just so light! You can take it anywhere
“Piaggero,” the name of the NP-35 Series, combines “Piano” with the word “leggero,” a musical term meaning, “light.” As the name states, the NP-35 is extremely light, even for a portable keyboard, so that you can take it anywhere. Indoors, outdoors, or even on a trip, feel free to take it to your favorite places and practice.
Powerful, resonant sound
Yamaha’s acoustic technology furnishes the Piaggero’s powerful sound—a sound that belies its compact size, featuring resonant grand piano-style bass notes and beautifully detailed treble tones.
The Piaggero features the sound of a Yamaha full concert grand, the CFIIIS. The sound was sampled from a piano with a bright, transparent tone, a spacious treble, and an overall solid sonic feel.
The NP-35 is equipped with a larger amplifier than the NP-15, for a more robust bass and greater overall volume.

The NP-35 comes with 15 demo songs that are appropriate for each voice, such as Concert Grand, DX E. Piano, Jazz Organ, Harpsichord 8’, Strings and so forth. We encourage you to listen to these demo songs, which cover a variety of genres from light classical to baroque masterpieces, jazz, pop music and more, to get an idea of how the NP-35 opens up possibilities for your musical expression.

The ability to use headphones is a convenient feature of digital instruments. You can play without the people around you hearing, and even enjoy the exquisite sound of a concert grand piano in all its glory.
Equipped with a recording function to help your playing improve quickly, as well as a metronome
The NP-35 comes equipped with a recording function that is a convenient aid to practice, making it easy to record your own performances so that you can listen to them again immediately. You can record just the left hand first, and then practice playing along with the right.
The NP-35 also features a metronome which is essential for learning to perform at the correct tempo.
Switch to battery power to play anywhere you want!
The Piaggero comes with a power adapter*, but since you can also power it using six AA batteries, you can even play it at places that lack access to a power supply.
