Catalyst® CX 200 is a 200-watt dual-channel 2×12 combo amplifier that performs like a traditional guitar amp—while providing the increased versatility of a modern amp. The sturdily constructed Catalyst CX 200 amplifier offers 12 Amp Voicings—ranging from pristine clean to modern high-gain—derived from the Helix® amp and effects processor. Each Amp Voicing is matched with a custom Boost type, and there are also 24 HX®-quality effects spanning four effects categories.

Additional features include a Tap/Tuner button, an XLR line output, an effects loop, a Power Amp input for using the Catalyst CX as a powered speaker, MIDI functionality, a 2-channel USB recording interface, and power output options.

The free Catalyst Edit app for desktop and mobile devices provides deep editing capabilities. Add an optional LFS2 footswitch for even more flexibility, and an optional cover to protect your combo.

Dedicated Boost

Each Amp Voicing is matched with an optimal Boost type. Use the Boost control to adjust the amount, and the Boost button to switch the circuit in and out.

ONBOARD EFFECTS

Select up to two of 24 Reverb, Delay, Modulation, and Pitch effects derived from Helix.

TEMPO/TUNER

Tap in the tempo when using time-based effects such as delay and tremolo. Press and momentarily hold the button to access the chromatic tuner.

OPTIONAL FOOTSWITCH

Connect an optional LFS2 footswitch to toggle between channels and turn effects on and off remotely. The roadworthy metal LFS2 comes with a cable.

PROFESSIONAL CONNECTIVITY

Connect Catalyst CX to professional P.A. or recording devices using the XLR line output (with Ground Lift switch).

EFFECTS LOOP

Insert external effects and other devices into your signal chain using the Effects Loop.

POWER AMP IN

Use Catalyst CX as a powered speaker by bypassing the preamp. Perfect for use with amp modelers and simulators.

OUTPUT POWER

Provides half power, 0.5 watts, and speaker Mute options for reduced volume with minimal tone variation.

USB

Use this to connect to the Catalyst Edit app (Mac^®, PC, iOS^®, Android^™) and to the onboard audio interface, which provides 4 channels (4in/4out) at 24-bit, 44.1kHz or 48kHz.

MIDI

Catalyst 100 and 200 receive Program Change (channel/preset selection) and Continuous Controller messages via 5-pin DIN. Catalyst 60 supports MIDI over USB-B.
